The League supports a redistricting process that is timely, transparent, and meets the basic criteria relating to population equity, compactness and contiguity, and the requirements of the 1965 U.S. Voting Rights Act and subsequent amendments. No district shall be drawn with the intent to favor a political party or incumbent legislator.
