Madeleine Behr leads policy advocacy for the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE) including improving law enforcement’s response towards survivors of rape and the commercial sex trade, restorative justice for survivors, victims’ rights, criminal justice reform, among other issues. Before working at CAASE, Medeliene was a government and investigative reporter at USA TODAY NETWORK Appleton, WI and the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism in Madison, WI where she covered important topics from the 2016 elections to the backlog in processing rape evidence kits, and more. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Madeleine is a graduate of DePaul University’s School of Public Service with a master’s degree in public policy. She is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and legal studies.
