Representing 3700 members across the state, the League teams up with other organizations so that all of our voices are amplified. Here’s what we spoke out on in January and February:
Endorsed a Wetlands Protection Bill (HB5386 (MOELLER)/SB0771 (ELLMAN)) again this session
Published an Op Ed in the Sun Times stating our objection to the SAVE Act
Promoted an Action Alert for members to take action and object to the SAVE Act
Voiced support for HB 1429 requesting to decriminalize homelessness
Supported the Minority Teachers of Illinois funding
Advocated for President Biden advance the ERA before leaving office
