Bill Scown is a League member who grew up in Glen Ellyn and graduated from UC Berkeley. He worked in finance, logistics, and IT for Intel Corporation, spending a lot of time in Asia developing logistics teams and information systems. He met his wife Jeannie in Arizona. They moved to Geneva after retirement to be close to children. As a member of the LWV of Central Kane County, he partnered with others in the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition to lobby local city councils and state representatives to support the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. Bill’s hobbies are cooking, walking the dog, and telling lies to grand kids.
