Jennifer Manning has served on LWV of Illinois’ Board of Directors since June 2023. She is vice president of Voter Service and chair of the LWVIL Voter Service Committee.
Jennifer has been a member of LWV of Wilmette for nearly a decade, serving as voter services co-chair from 2019-2023 and LWV of Cook County’s local League representative from 2021-present. Her voter engagement and GOTV efforts have included media engagement, heavily-viewed candidate forums and the Wilmette voter guide, and typically result in higher voter turnout in Wilmette than most surrounding areas. A favorite League initiative is engaging first-time voters through semi-annual registration drives at five area high schools.
Jennifer supports the League’s nonpartisan efforts to register and educate voters and find common ground on important issues. She values the combined knowledge and expertise of League membership.
Jennifer’s background is in the legal field, working at large Chicago firms for a number of years. A mother of three, she has lived in Wilmette for 20 years with her husband, Steve. She has volunteered in numerous capacities in the neighborhood. In her spare time she enjoys strolling Wilmette’s beautiful lakefront and playing tennis.
