There has never been a more critical time to have accurate information about our elections! As we approach the 2024 Presidential Election, misinformation and disinformation are sowing division and distrust, suppressing voting, and undermining the entire electoral process. Find tools below to help build trust in election security and the election process.

How can you fight back?  

  1. Sharing or commenting on inaccurate posts increases their visibility! Create your own post with accurate information and share widely. Use our downloadable social media graphics below to get started.

  2. Some social media networks are suppressing political posts. Be sure to use other methods of information sharing:

To address the troubling rise of misinformation and disinformation—and its impact on our elections—the League of Women Voters of Illinois formed the Mis/Disinformation Task Force in January 2024 with the goal of educating the general public on mis/disinformation.
