Recall of the Governor
Proposed Amendment (HJRCA31) to the Illinois Constitution

At the November 2, 2010, General Election, voters will be asked to decide whether the Illinois Constitution should be amended to add a new Section 7 to Article III, Suffrage and Elections.  The proposed amendment would provide for a special election to recall a governor and for a special election to elect a successor governor.

The LWVIL Recall Committee has prepared a brochure, Recall of the Governor; Proposed Amendment to the Illinois Constitution, which can be used as pamphlet for public education. The material for the pamphlet is in two documents. These documents should be printed back to back and folded in half. The side with the League logo and vote pin are the front cover.
