Treasurer
Maria Pasquesi has served on LWV of Illinois’ Board of Directors as treasurer since February 2022.
A Certified Public Accountant, Maria retired in 2019 and has been active in her local League, LWV of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff, around a number of issues she finds important.
Maria has primarily worked with corporations, most recently with Wipfli, LLP in Lincolnshire, IL. She also has some experience with nonprofit businesses, using her professional expertise to help guide the organizations’ continued accounting & bookkeeping adjustments. She played a key role in advising the transfer of the LWVIL’s accounting function to a professional firm, improving functionality and reducing the League’s expenses.
Maria has two grown daughters. She and her husband live in Deerfield and she enjoys playing pickleball, biking, bridge, mah-jongg and traveling.
